MEETING NOTICE: The next meeting of the Broward Beekeepers Association will be held on
May 12 at 3:30PM at the Sawgrass Nature Center in Coral Springs (3000 Sportsplex Drive). Our guest speaker for this meeting will be Ms. Marie Muna Gosser. Nominations for elections will be finalized. Elections will be finalized at the June meeting.
Remember to wear your BBA t-shirt to be eligible for the door prize drawing.

Dr. Gosser and Mr. John Herring will give a presentation to the Sierra Club in Coconut Creek on July 11 at 7:30 in the evening.
RECENT EVENTS
March16.......2013 Cuboree at Tree Tops Park. Leo Gosser and John Herring gave educational presentations to approximately 12 different Cub Scout troops. It was a very hectic day for all as some of the troops liked to make noise as part of their show of spirit.
March 20......Dan Novak gave an educational presentation to a group of 4-H children of all ages. There were over 30 4-Hers plus the parental support staff present.
EXTRACTOR: We now have an extractor for use by the members. Any one who wishs to borrow the extractor please call Leo at 954-344-1493. It is available for members only at no charge. A $400 deposit is required to assure the equipment is returned in clean condition. You may borrow the extractor for a 4-day period only. Also, those who wish to represent the BBA at a Farmer's Market or similar event may do so by requesting approval of the Board of Managers. Educational material is available for such events and may be borrowed for the event. A cash deposit of $200 will be required to assure all materials are returned intact.
NEWS: President Leo A. Gosser was selected as the "Volunteer of the Year" by the Florida State Beekeepers Association and received a plaque at the recent convention held in Tampa November 1-3, 2012.
